Every sign-up path applies the same 18+ rule, so there's no way around it — just enter your birthdate and you're in. If you join through Google or Apple and they don't share a birthdate, we'll simply ask for it before your account goes live.

• The birthdate field catches typos as you go — type an impossible day or month and it automatically snaps to a valid date.
• If our Terms of Service ever change in a meaningful way, you'll be asked to explicitly agree again — never updated silently behind your back.

One-Tap Sign-In with Google & Apple

One tap on Google or Apple logs you straight in, or creates your account automatically if it's your first time — no password to invent or remember. Your account stays linked to that provider, so you always sign in the same easy way.

• Using Apple's "Hide My Email" feature still works perfectly — your account stays fully secure with a dedicated path for sensitive changes.

Guest Browsing

Tap "continue as guest" and you're straight into the feed and reels, no questions asked. When you're ready to chat, comment, or do more, you can create a real account any time.

• As a guest, features that need a real account — like chat — will clearly prompt you to sign up instead of just being greyed out or confusing.

Multi-Account Switching

Every account you log into stays saved and securely protected on your device. Open the switch-account menu, tap the one you want, and you're in instantly.

• You can't switch accounts while you're live or sitting on a voice seat — a clear message explains why, so you're never confused.

Two-Factor Authentication

Turn it on from security settings and you'll get backup codes right away for safekeeping. From then on, every login asks for a second step you choose — an emailed code, an authenticator app code, a backup code, or a one-tap approval sent to a device you're already logged into.

• Check "trust this device" during verification and you won't be asked for the second step again on that device for a full 30 days.
• Too many wrong verification-code attempts temporarily locks that step down, protecting your account from anyone trying to guess their way in.

Device & Session Manager

Your security settings show every active login with its device name, approximate location, and last activity — so you always know who's in your account. Tap "sign out" on any device to end its session immediately, or sign out of every other device at once with one button.

• If you sign a device out remotely, that device logs itself out automatically within minutes — you don't have to wait for it to notice on its own.
• You can never accidentally sign yourself out from this screen — your current device is simply not an option, by design.

New-Device Login Alerts

You'll get an instant email the moment your account is accessed from a device you don't recognize, so you can act fast if it wasn't you. Logging in from your usual devices never triggers an alert.

• Your very first login or sign-up never triggers an alert — you'll only hear from us when a new device joins an account that's already active elsewhere.

Secure Account Recovery

Locked out? Tap the "secure my account" link from your email and you're logged back in instantly, taken straight to a new-password screen — no codes to type. The link works once only, so no one else can reuse it even if they somehow got hold of it.

• Every recovery link expires automatically, so it can never be reused or misused later.

Secure Email Change

First you confirm your identity with a code sent to your current email (or by re-signing in through Apple if you don't have a password). Then you enter the new email and confirm it with its own separate code — so no one can hijack your email with just a moment of access to your session.

• Signed up with Apple? You can prove your identity by simply signing in through Apple again — handy if you use Apple's hidden email and don't check that inbox.

Blue Verification

Fill in your details and upload your ID document, then finish with a live in-app selfie that asks you to blink, smile, or turn your head — proving a real person is behind the camera, not a photo. Your request then goes to our team for review.

• You'll need to include at least one link to an existing profile or site that supports your identity — no duplicate links allowed.

Golden Verification

Already blue-verified? Pick your category — public figure, artist, athlete, company, and more — add your country, and capture one fresh selfie. Everything else carries over automatically from your blue verification, so there's nothing to re-upload.

• Golden is the top tier — once you have it, it fully covers blue verification too, so there's nothing further to apply for.

Periodic Face Check

When it's time, a banner leads you to snap a quick new selfie to confirm you're still you. Most checks pass instantly — and if it's ever a close call, our team takes a look personally instead of rejecting you outright.

• If something ever goes wrong on our end during the check, you're never penalized for it — you're accepted provisionally while our team reviews it personally.

Ban Screen & Appeal

If your account is banned, the app shows exactly why, for how long, and when it ends (or if it's permanent) — and unlocks the instant your ban is lifted, so you're never left waiting. From the same screen, you can file a written appeal with a few live selfies and a photo of your ID, reviewed by our team within about a day.

• You can't file a second appeal while an earlier one is still being reviewed — one active appeal at a time keeps things moving.

Invisible Man Mode

Eligible VIP members can flip a switch to hide their identity in comments, live streams, or both. Everyone else sees the same masked top-hat character instead of your real name and photo, and tapping it shows an invitation to VIP instead of your real profile.

• Your hidden identity looks exactly the same everywhere it shows up — comments, live chat, voice seats, leaderboards — so no one can piece together who's behind the mask.

Permanent Account Deletion

To delete your account, you type a confirmation phrase and verify it's really you with an emailed code (or Apple sign-in). Once confirmed, everything is wiped for good — every post, story, comment, chat, wallet transaction, and verification document, media files included, with nothing recoverable afterward.

• The clean-up is thorough — nothing tied to your account is left behind anywhere, even in the corners you'd never think to check.

Built-In App Protection

The "For You" Feed

Your feed blends what you follow, what's trending, fresh content, and things similar to what you've liked before — and keeps adjusting as you scroll. New users start with a fresh mix of trending and new content that gets more personal the more they use the app.

• The feed won't flood you with one person's posts — no more than 3 posts from the same account within any 6 posts in a row.
• Open the app any time and your feed is already refreshed with new content — it's rarely ever stale.

Why Am I Seeing This?

Open a post's menu and tap "Why am I seeing this?" for a real answer — maybe it's a promoted post, someone you follow shared it, people you follow liked it, or it's trending. No more guessing.

• Right under a post in your feed, you'll often already see a small note like "liked by people you follow" — even before you tap for the full explanation.

Vertical Reels Player

Swipe up or down to move between posts. Tap or drag the progress bar at the bottom of any video to jump anywhere in it instantly. Playback pauses automatically when you open comments or a profile, and resumes right where you left off when you come back.

• This same smooth player shows up everywhere you find reels in the app — home, hashtag pages, sound pages, and search — so the experience never changes.

Swipe-to-Preview Profile

While watching reels, drag sideways on the video and its creator's profile slides into view behind it — a light vibration confirms it's open. It won't interfere with scrubbing the video, so both gestures work smoothly side by side.

Three Home Tabs: Photos, Following & For You

"Photos" gives you a Pinterest-style grid of image posts only. "Following" is a full reels feed of just the people you follow. "For You" is your personalized default feed. Following only appears once you've followed someone.

• The Following feed still favors what's fresh, but a post getting real engagement can rise above a newer, quieter one.

Tap "search similar" on a post and you're taken straight to search results built around exactly what's in that post — with the original shown right at the top so you know what inspired the results.

Unified Search Across Seven Tabs

Search once and browse results across seven tabs: Best, Accounts, Videos, Images, Trending, Hashtags, and Sounds — including a dedicated spot at the top for the account that best matches what you typed.

• Your last 20 searches are saved right on your phone, so you can revisit or clear them any time — one by one or all at once.

Advanced Search Filters

Filter search results by video or image, sort by relevance, most liked, or newest, focus on what you've liked or who you follow, and pick a time range from the last day up to six months.

• Log in to unlock two extra filters: search only what you've liked, or only posts from people you follow.

Full-Screen Search Results Viewer

Tapping a search result opens a full reels viewer that stays focused purely on your search — swipe for more matches, and a clear back button drops you right back where you left the results.

Hashtag Pages & Favorites

A hashtag's page shows every post using it, related hashtags worth exploring, and view/post counts at a glance. Tap favorite to save it to your personal list for quick access later.

• Related hashtags are ranked by what's actually gaining momentum, not just alphabetically.

Trending Hashtags

The Trending tab in search surfaces the hashtags with the most real momentum right now — not just the ones with the most posts ever — so you're always seeing what's hot today.

Sound & Music Library

Browse tracks by tab — featured picks, a live trending chart, sounds pulled from real users' reels, or your own saved list. Search by song or artist name, and bookmark any track for later.

• The trending chart shows real rank movement — up or down arrows — so you can see what's climbing right now, not just a fixed popularity list.
• Search finds songs beyond the library too — the first time you pick one, it's added for you to use again anytime.

Sound Pages & Their Reels

Tap the spinning sound icon on a reel to open its page — play a preview, follow the original creator, browse every reel that used the same sound, and tap "use this sound" to start your own post with it already attached.

• The original post that introduced the sound is always pinned first in the grid, so you can find where it started.

One Camera for Everything

Open one camera and switch between post, story, and live with a single tap, and every shot looks its best. Zoom, a flash, a capture timer, and a filter panel with 36 looks (Crush, Sunset, Noir…) are all one tap away, and you can still swap the filter afterward while editing.

• Flipping between front and back camera is smooth, not jarring — no glitchy jump on screen.

Multi-Photo Posts with Text Overlays

Add up to 10 photos to a single post, swipe between them, and add, remove, or swap any image right in the editor. Drop a draggable, resizable text layer on any photo — pick from 30 Arabic-friendly fonts, any color, alignment, and an optional background behind the text.

• Each photo keeps its own text — nothing gets copied across every image in the post.

• Sharing a new note instantly replaces your old one — you can only have one active note at a time.

Profile Tabs & Sorting

Every profile has Posts and Reposts tabs, and on your own profile you also get Saved and Liked — just for you. Tap the Posts tab again while you're already on it to sort by Latest, Top, or Oldest.

• The sort menu only shows up on a re-tap of the already-open Posts tab, never when you're simply switching into it, so it never pops up by surprise.
• The Liked tab is just for you — no one else can ever see what you've liked.

Follow & Follow Requests

Follow a public account and it's instant, earning you a level point right away — follow a private one and your request only counts once they approve it. You can also quietly remove someone from your followers without blocking them, whenever you like.

• VIP subscribers earn double the level points from following and other social actions.
• When someone accepts your follow request, you still get the same level point you'd have earned instantly on a public account.

Also Followed By

Open someone else's profile and you'll see a row of up to 3 friends you both share, with a line like "Followed by X, Y and N others" — tap it for the full list. It only shows up when there's actually something to show.

• This row never appears on your own profile, or for a visitor who isn't logged in.

Follow Suggestions

Follow someone new and a strip of similar accounts appears right below the Follow button, each with a quick reason like "Also followed by X" — an easy way to keep building your circle.

Block Users

Blocking someone unfollows each other automatically in both directions, and their profile and posts show a simple "this user is blocked" message everywhere instead of any content. It also helps keep their posts out of your feed going forward.

• Blocking takes effect instantly on your screen — the other person disappears from your view without any delay.

Quick Profile Preview

A frosted-glass card pops up with their avatar, name, verification badge, follow status, and a grid of their last 6 posts, plus a button to open the full profile. It respects privacy too — a blocked account just shows as blocked, and a private account you don't follow keeps its posts locked.

• Reels without a cover image still show a clear play icon in the grid, never a broken image.

Levels & XP

A colored badge next to your name shows your current level — grey through green, blue, purple, orange, and pink, up to gold at level 100+. Tap it to see your progress toward the next level and every named rank you can unlock, from Beginnings to Tapylapy Legend.

• Reach a milestone level and its badge icon shows right next to your name everywhere in the app, not just inside your level page.

Avatar Frames

Frames wrap around your avatar everywhere in the app — your profile, comments, live streams, and more — and some are even animated. Activate one from your collection and it automatically replaces whatever frame you're wearing.

• Your avatar and its frame stay visible even if your internet connection drops.

Necklaces With a Story

Any necklace you own and wear shows as a small chip right under your name — and unlike frames, you can wear several at once. Tap one to open a cinematic card with its picture, description, and its own written backstory.

Donation Necklaces

Every coin you tip or gift to creators counts toward your total. Cross 10K, 50K, 100K, or 1M coins and you automatically earn the matching donation necklace forever — no purchase needed, and it's always your highest tier on display.

Necklace Tree

Open the Necklace Tree to see synergy groups laid out as branches — collect and wear every necklace on a branch and it lights up with a glow and a travelling spark, unlocking a bonus perk. Tap any branch to see how close you are.

• Perks range from double XP and extra daily actions to a coin bonus, comment priority, or a bigger boost to your profile visibility.

Verified Badges

Verified accounts carry a small badge next to their name everywhere — blue by default, or gold for a higher verification tier. Gold means an extra level of recognition, not just a different color.

VIP Badge & Tiers

VIP members get a badge icon and a name color that upgrades with tier, from light blue up to gold at the top tier. Tap your VIP chip to see everything your tier unlocks — double XP, comment priority, faster support, and a bigger profile-visitors limit.

• Your VIP name color always takes priority, showing through even over any other custom name styling you've set.

Profile Visitors

See who's been checking out your profile — a VIP-only perk starting at tier 3. The higher your tier, the more visitors you can see: 200 at tier 3, up to 1,000 at the top tier.

• New visitors since your last check are highlighted, so you always spot who's new at a glance.

Relationship Badges

Pick a relationship label — friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother, admirer, and more — and pin it next to any chat's avatar. It's for your eyes only: the other person never sees the label you chose, and you'll never see theirs.

• Most relationship badges play a small animation when you pick them.

Offline Profile

Your profile and your last 9 posts stay browsable even with no internet connection at all — no blank screen, no error.

• This only covers your own posts — anyone else's still need an internet connection to open.

Threaded Comments & Smart Sorting

Replies nest up to five levels deep, with more loading automatically as you scroll. Pinned comments and the post owner's replies always surface near the top, and whoever leaves the very first comment on a post earns a special badge for it.

• Your comment appears the instant you hit send — no spinner, no waiting.
• Long-press any comment to reply, pin it, or delete it — one gesture, all your options.

Comment Likes

Tap the heart next to any comment to like it — the count updates instantly, with a subtle haptic tap for feedback.

Pinned Comments

Only the post's owner can pin a comment, and it stays right at the top for everyone. Pin a new one and the last pinned comment steps aside automatically.

Edit & Delete Comments

Only you can edit the words in your own comment, anytime. Either you or the post owner can delete a comment — and deleting one takes any replies to it down as well.

Comment Reports & Auto-Hide

Long-press any comment to report it, choosing from reasons like harassment, hate speech, or spam. Enough different people reporting the same comment, and it disappears for everyone right away.

Mentions (@) & Hashtags

Type @ and get a smart list of people you actually know — close friends and mutuals rise to the top. Every hashtag and @mention in the app turns into a tappable link, taking you straight to that tag's page or that person's profile.

• Hashtags work with Arabic letters too (like #رياضة), not just English and numbers.
• Mention someone who doesn't have an account and it just shows as plain text — no broken links.

GIFs & Stickers in Comments

Attach a GIF or sticker to your comment — with or without text. Commenting on a video or photo post even adds a special tab to turn that post's own clip or image into your GIF or sticker.

Comment Gifts

Send a virtual gift right inside your comment — from lollipops and roses to a royal crown, or a country flag for just 1 coin. Pick a quantity, and it lands in the post owner's wallet instantly with a notification (just not on your own posts).

• Sending more than one at a time shows a ×N badge right on the gift, so it's obvious how many you sent.

Invisible Man Comments

If your VIP tier includes Invisible Man, a toggle next to the comment box lets you post as 'Anonymous Man' — no name, no photo, no clickable profile. Turn it on as your default from the Invisible Man settings page, or flip it per comment; either way, it never hides your identity on your own posts.

• Even the instant preview shown while you're sending stays anonymous — your real name never flashes on screen, not even for a split second.

Instant Comment Translation

Long-press any comment and tap Translate to see it in your app's language instantly. Tap 'Show original' to flip right back to what was actually written.

• Once you've translated a comment, switching back and forth between the translation and the original is instant every time after that.

Who Liked This Post

See everyone who liked a post — photo, name, and badges included — and tap any name to jump straight to their profile. Private posts keep this list just as private, visible only to people already allowed to see the post.

• The list is ordered by who liked most recently, not randomly shuffled.

Double-Tap to Like

Double-tap any post or reel and a heart pops up right where you tapped, pulses, and floats away as your like registers. You'll see that same playful burst effect for saves, shares, and downloads elsewhere in the app too.

Save to Collections

One tap saves a post straight into your 'Saved' folder. For more control, create your own named collections, mark them public or private, and choose exactly where each post goes — its cover picks itself from the first post you save.

• Saving a post earns you the same little bit of level-XP that liking does.

One Share Sheet for Everything

One share sheet works for posts, profiles, and live streams alike. Send it straight into a chat with a tap, search for anyone to start a new conversation, or send it out to WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, email, or any other app you use.

• A dedicated QR-code button turns your profile into a scannable code, ready to save or share as an image.

Drag-to-Share Gesture

Long-press the share button on a reel and circular photos of your last 5 chats float up around it. Drag onto one and let go — the reel sends instantly with a green checkmark, no extra taps needed.

• The chat bubbles keep gently floating and pulsing even before you touch them, so they feel alive on screen.

Instant Screenshot Sharing

Take a screenshot anywhere in the app and a quick share sheet pops up for that exact image — with one-tap buttons for WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Messenger, Facebook, or your phone's full share menu.

Inbox & Message Requests

Tapylapy splits your messages into two tabs — Primary and Requests — each with its own unread count, based on who you allow to message you: everyone, mutual friends only, or no one. Long-press any chat to pin, mute, or hide it, and any conversation you already have keeps working exactly as before.

• Even if you choose "no one" for who can message you, conversations you already have keep working exactly as before.
• "Friends" here means you both actually follow each other — not just a one-way follow.

Private Relationship Labels

Long-press any 1:1 chat and pick a relationship label — friend, partner, father, mother, and more — each with its own animated icon or badge. It shows as a small tag next to the chat, and it's completely private: the other person never sees the label you chose for them.

• 6 of the 9 relationship types get fully animated art; the rest (father/brother/sister) get a glowing badge instead.
• You can also remove the label entirely and go back to no tag at all.

Pre-Send Media Preview

Before any photo or video reaches the other person, it opens full-screen so you can add a caption, then choose to send or cancel. Photos and videos share the same clean look, so it feels like one smooth flow.

• This same preview screen is also where you turn on "view once" before sending.

View-Once Media

Turn on "view once" during preview, and your photo or video arrives as a locked bubble with an eye icon that can only be opened once — even across two devices, only the first open counts. Your own copy always stays open for you, and once viewed, it's gone for good.

• The first time you use this feature, a quick one-time explainer walks you through it.
• Forwarding a view-once photo you've already seen sends it as a regular, unlocked message — since you've already seen it yourself.

Video Trim & GIF Export

The video preview adds a thumbnail filmstrip with drag handles so you pick exactly where a clip starts and ends — and for clips under 5 seconds, you can convert straight to an animated GIF instead of sending video.

• You see the expected GIF file size the moment you pick your clip — before you send it.

Message Reactions

Long-press any message (or open it in the media viewer) to see 6 quick-reaction emoji, or tap "+" to bring up your phone's entire emoji keyboard — the same one you know from every other app, categories and recent history included.

• Each message can carry only one reaction from you — picking a new emoji simply swaps out the old one.

In-Chat Forwarding

From the media viewer or a sticker's action menu, tap forward and pick any of your conversations — including groups you're allowed to post in. It stays in that new chat for good, even if you delete the original message later.

• Forwarding currently works for photos, videos, and stickers — not yet for plain text messages.

Full-Screen Media Viewer

Tap any chat photo or video to open a full-screen viewer — pinch-zoom photos up to 4x, drag freely through video, and swipe along a filmstrip of every photo and video in the conversation to jump straight to any of them. Reply, react, delete, or forward right from this same screen, no need to go back to the chat.

• Video thumbnails show a real frame pulled from the video itself, not just a generic play icon.

Chat Theme & Wallpaper

Pick a theme from the color grid in chat settings and preview exactly how your real message bubbles will look before confirming. Once saved, it applies for both sides with a message announcing who changed it — and in groups, only the owner or an admin can do it.

• A separate button lets you remove the custom theme entirely and go back to the default look.

GIF & Sticker Picker

The GIF button on the composer opens a library organized by category — Recent, Favorites, Trending, plus mood shortcuts like happy, sad, and celebrate — with text search and a toggle between GIFs and stickers. On the Favorites tab, a "+" tile opens a sticker creator that turns any photo from your camera or a post into a brand-new sticker, added straight to your favorites.

• Favorites is one shared list for both GIFs and stickers, while "Recent" is kept separate for each.

Voice & Video Calls

Tap the call button at the top of any chat to start a voice or video call that connects the instant the other person accepts — it shows up as a real phone call even with your screen locked. While watching any live stream, send an instant report with a reason — once per stream. Live-stream reports get urgent review, so a problem doesn't slip by just because it's happening in real time.

Block a User

Block someone and it takes effect immediately: any follow between you is undone, pending follow requests vanish, they can no longer message you, and neither of you shows up in the other's feed or profile anymore. You can always undo it later from Blocked Users in Settings.

• Blocking someone from inside one of their posts also quietly shows you less content like theirs going forward — not just that one person's posts.
• Your block list is ready the instant you open the app — no waiting for it to load.

Account Suspension & Appeals

A suspended account is locked to a dedicated screen showing the exact reason, the duration, and the start and end dates — no way around it. You get one appeal: write your case, then take three live selfies from different angles plus a photo of your ID, all captured fresh through the camera so your appeal can't be faked.

• While your appeal is under review, you'll see its live status right on the screen — pending, needs more info, approved, or rejected.
• Even while suspended, you can still check your appeal's status and you'll get notified the moment a decision is made.

AI Photo Safety Check

Before a photo reaches anyone else's feed, it's automatically screened for nudity, real violence, self-harm, and hate speech — with sensible exceptions, so a safely-shown weapon or religious text is never wrongly flagged. If the check is briefly unavailable, your post still goes through instead of getting stuck.

• Your original photo, in full quality, stays completely private the whole time — the safety check never exposes it.

AI Video Safety Check

After you upload a video, only you can see it while it's automatically checked against the same standards as photos. It becomes visible to everyone the moment it passes, and a brief hiccup never blocks it from publishing for good.

Regional Availability

If you're opening the app from a region where it isn't available, you'll see a clear, final screen explaining that — instead of the app trying and failing to load normally.

• You'll never be mistakenly blocked over a location mix-up.

Your Data Stays Private

Your chat messages, WhatsApp number, payout details, and identity-verification information are all genuinely kept private and protected — not just tucked behind a setting.

Permanent Account Deletion

This is a real, complete deletion: every post, story, comment, message, group membership, wallet balance, and verification photo you have is permanently removed, along with your profile and cover photos. If you're live at the moment you delete your account, that stream ends immediately.

• If you joined through a friend's invite link, deleting your account also reverses the invite reward they earned for referring you.

Offline-Saved Content

The app automatically saves what you view over Wi-Fi, up to limits you can adjust in settings. Open "Downloaded" anytime to browse everything saved so far with the same familiar scrolling experience — though liking, commenting, and following stay off since those need a live connection.

• You can start browsing what's already downloaded even while more is still being saved.

Free Up Storage Space

The Free Up Space screen in Settings shows real, measured numbers — split between temporary files and offline-saved content — plus how that compares to your phone's total storage. Every clear button asks you to confirm first, so nothing gets deleted by accident.

Watermarked Downloads Protect Creators

Whenever you download a photo or video, it's stamped with the app's logo and the original creator's name — never yours — so the source stays clear wherever it's shared. A progress bar with a cancel option shows while it saves.

• Creators can turn off downloads for their own content — if they have, you'll get a clear message instead of a saved file.
• The app's name also stays subtly visible at the top of every screen, so even a screen recording carries a trace back to Tapylapy.

Whatever goes wrong with your connection, you'll always get the same simple, friendly message instead of confusing technical jargon — and the same clean loading, empty, and error screens appear consistently everywhere in the app.
